FALANA DRAGS OGUN MONARCH TO COURT, DEMANDS N200M AND PUBLIC APOLOGY

               Femi Falana, human rights activist and senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN). Femi Falana a popular Nigerian human rights lawyer has filed a lawsuit against Oba Semiu Ogunjobi, the Olorile of Orile Ifo, Ogun State, seeking N200 million in damages for the alleged assault of 73-year-old Elder Areola Abraham Love. The lawsuit which was filed before the Ogun State High Court, Ota, on Friday 7 th March, 2025, aims to enforce Elder Love’s fundamental human rights to dignity, freedom of movement, and life, as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Falana has argued that the lascivious attack on Elder Love on January 21 st , 2025, constituted a threat to his life and violated his fundamental rights. PRESIDENT REJECT N942BN CENSUS BUDGET FROM NPC

  President Bola Tinubu has turned down a N942 billion proposal by the National Population Commission for the conduct of the national housing and population census, on Saturday has learnt. Faultless sources sharing in to the discussions between Tinubu and the commission’s top officials on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the State House, revealed that the President insisted on cost-cutting measures. According to the insiders, the President suggested the deployment of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for the exercise.
