MEET A TRUE NIGERIAN, CHIDI AJAERE, CEO OF GIG GROUP

 

The God is Good (GIG) Group is a conglomerate with over 5, 000 employees. It was founded in 1998 by Mr Edwin Ajaere who hails from Isu LGA, Imo state, as God is Good Motors, with a vision to provide premium bus services across Nigerian cities.

In 2009 Edwin Ajaere was kidnapped and killed, his son, Chidi Ajaere age 21 at that time came back from the United State and piloted the affairs of the company which has since transform into a leading technological driven logistics company, also playing in other sector of the Nigeria economy.

The GIG that we see all over Nigeria today is the handwork and the brilliant effort of Chidi. His parents will be proud of him that they raised a great son in Chidi Ajaere, who is doing wonders and transforming logistics across Nigeria.

With an aspiration to be among the nation’s top ranked conglomerates in Nigeria within a decade, the company also wants to be a propeller of progress in all facets of life.

Chidi Ajaere has successfully expanded the horizon of GIG Group which led to the birthing of other subsidiaries which includes: GIG Logistics (deliveries to US, UK,China and west Africa), GIG motors, Stellas banking and finance, Richmondhill Real Estate and property, Ziuss energy, oil & gas and GIG Aviation the latest subsidiary after the purchase of two Atr72 cargo aircraft for logistics services.

DANGOTE REFINERY SLASH-DOWN PETROL PRICE

  It is believed that the drop in crude oil prices and the resumption of the naira-for-crude arrangement for local refineries in Nigeria may push the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known by mass popularity as petrol, supplementary down to about N800 per litre in the coming weeks or months, as analysed by oil marketers and industry on Wednesday 16 th April. This however was evidence in action, as the Dangote refinery reduced its petrol price for the third time in less than six weeks, cutting down the ex-depot rate to N835 per litre from N865 per litre six days aforementioned.
