DAVIDO: FIGHTING CHIOMA AFFECTS BUSINESS AND VOWS TO BE MONOGAMY .

He made known that he and Chioma were together for 11 years before officially tying the knot and their relationship began when they were both teenagers, with Davido at 18 and Chioma at 17.

They met while still in school, and Chioma eventually transitioned from being his girlfriend to his wife.

The superstar reflecting on his past experiences with women, and acknowledging the drama and heartache he has endured, made a bold declaration about his personal life, stating, “I’m not cheating again.”

On this reflection, Davido made it a vow: “I’m not cheating again.” He acknowledged his colourful history, noting, “I have five kids with four women.” This isn’t just talk; it’s a commitment to turning over a new leaf.​

In 2023, two women claimed to be carrying his child, sparking media frenzy. Despite the challenges, Davido’s relationship with his wife, Chioma, has endured, and the couple tied the knot in June 2024.

At 32, Davido seems ready to turn a new leaf. He emphasized the importance of a drama-free home, stating that no amount of money can compare to the serenity of a peaceful relationship.

The Nigerian singer shared acumen as to how his relationship with his wife Chioma influences both his personal life and profession.

About their bond, which spans over a decade, he expressed how their relationship has evolved and strengthened over time in a recent interview where he was featured on The Breakfast Club podcast. The superstar discussed how arguments with Chioma had affected his business so many times, as well as the profound role her support has played in his success.

Davido also opened up about his initial concerns regarding introducing his children to Chioma, acknowledging that, despite his early fears, their relationship has only grown stronger with time and acknowledged that, Chioma was not just only a vital partner in his life but also a key figure behind his achievements.

He said: “My wife has always had things over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you are fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me. My kids love her, especially my daughter. There were times when I was scared to bring my kids around her, but there has been some growth”.

History has shown us that the consequences of infection are not equally felt by all communities. Almost 100 years ago, a 1926 syphilis survey conducted in the US state of Alabama showed that 36% of the people in Macon County had syphilis. Only 60 years after the legal abolition of slavery, Black Americans made up the majority of that county, barely keeping a living through sharecropping.
