"Declare BANDITS terrorist"...El-rufai and CAN

Governor El-rufai had earlier pleaded that the President declare the rigorous and continuous activities of bandits in the country a terrorism action and therefore the actors, terrorist. Following same view, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has said that the attack by bandits on rail track was a terrorists act and  bandits should be labelled terrorist.

CAN said the attack on the rail track which has led to the suspension of train services from Abuja to Kaduna ,was another additional cause for concern by the people of Kaduna state and those coming to do business in the state.

Rev.John Joseph Hayab, Vice President of CAN( 19 Northern States and FCT) and Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter, said in a statement titled ‘Attack on Kaduna -Abuja Rail Track, A Final Onslaught by Bandits’,that the Kaduna bandits had become very strong and daring to our government and security agents.

“Thank God Governor El-Rufai himself has called on the federal government to declare bandits as terrorists so that our security forces can kill them further shows that the era of denials and playing politics with insecurity is coming to an end.”

“Unless we maintain a firm position against those tormenting our citizens these bandits will not allow us to see peace.”

According to him, “now that the bandits are destroying rail lines, what else have they not done to confirm they are terrorists and enemies of the state?” 

There is a call for the FG to act decisively now before the whole situation get out of control as it is with the Bokoram insurgency that has become a serious nightmare for the citizens and the government herself.

Donald Trump cries as USA records 1,150 deaths in less than 24 hours. The united States Of America ( USA ) has recorded 1,150 coronavirus deaths in less than 24 hours. Johns Hopkins University disclosed this late Monday. This has now pushed the country’s toll further above the 10,000 mark reached earlier in the day. According to Johns Hopkins’ running tally, there are more than 366,000 cases of new coronavirus in the United States — including in excess of 30,000 new cases in 24 hours — with total deaths at 10,783. The US has by far the most number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world. The number of deaths recorded since the start of the pandemic has for the past several days increased by at least 1,000 per day and is gradually approaching the number of deaths in Italy (16,523) and Spain (13,005).
