Davido named World most Influential Personality in 2021

Davido named among world most influential people by TIME Magazine

 The story of the Nigerian singer David Adeleke (a.k,a Davido) and how he raised more than N151. 4 million after he shared his account details on his social media platforms on Wednesday, 19th November is no longer a new to many Nigerians and the world at large. As seen on his official Instagram handle @davido, his bank details as at Thursday showed a total sum of  N151, 458, 030. 52 in his account.

The global star after opening a Wema Bank account on Wednesday, posted it on all his social media platforms and called on his friends to donate one million naira each ahead of his 29th birthday which is November 21st.

Davido had on Monday asked his friends to send him the sum of one million naira each for his birthday and to clear his Rolls Royce from the port. The singer further said he wanted to know who his true friends.

The Omo Baba Olowo reportedly Raised N151 in a day after posting his bank account details on his Instagram page.

He wrote:

 “If you know I’ve given you a hit song…send me money… una know una selves ooo,” he initially wrote on instagram before adding his account details, “David Adeleke.”

“Omo N7m in 10 minutes keep goin!! I love y’all! aim na N100m, I wan clear my Rolls Royce from port abeg.”

“I know say una love me but una love me like this. Omo nah like joke I start this thing oh, N26m,” he wrote.

It was however, rain down of naira for the music star as some fans also joined the donation train as some prominent businessmen, philanthropists and musicians also made donations into his account.

The development has been sending Nigeria’s social media agog since it kickoff, with comments and reactions causing mouthwatering social media traffic.

With the donations, Davido is said to have become one of the biggest socialite and social media influencer in Africa. Not only that, the artist has also earn himself a great name in the world records being that, this great patriotic individual did not just pocket the whole donation to himself but instead the now 29 year old superstar became a super-giver as he gave out the whole contribution with an additional 50million from his own personal account to the 200million naira donated to him out to orphanage homes has a celebration to mark the completion of his birthday.

For this act, the singer, song-writer, husband, father and the CEO of DMW; david Adeleke aka Davido has been named among world most influential people by TIME Magazine.

After all said and done, in appreciation, the singer released names of some of the personalities, who contributed in his 200million birthday gifts scheduled 21st of November, 2021.
