MEET ANTHONY DENNIS THE NEWEST SUPER EAGLE INVITEE AND HIS CONFFESSION

 

Anthony Dennis  who is currently marketing his trade with Gotzepe, a Football Club in the Turkish league who is a deep lying playmaker known to be very comfortable on the ball, express that he was however stunned when he received the letter of his provisional invitation to the senior national team of Nigeria for the games in March. The newly invited Super Eagles midfielder said he had to double check if it was his name after making the list of players for the world cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe respectively.

The 20 year old Dennis moved to Turkey in 2023 from Abuja based football academy HB Academy stating from the U19 of Gotzepe. He didn’t stay long in the youth setup before making his way into the first team the same season.

Since then he has cemented his spot in the starting line-up of the team raking up a total of 23 appearances in all competitions, with 20 coming in the league and the rest in the Turkish Cup. He has three assists to his name.

” I had to check to be sure, because it’s so shocking to be true. It really shows that people are watching and you have to be at your best every time you step on the pitch”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

” It’s the dream of every player to play for his national team and I can’t say anything different. My appreciation goes to the coach for considering me in this list and I will continue to work hard, because this is a huge step in my young career”, he concluded.
